In short

Use Cocoshell to talk with people who want to talk with you. Don't use it to hurt anyone.

Not allowed

Content that sexually exploits children (we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children); threats, harassment or stalking; spam or bulk messaging to people who didn't ask; fraud, scams or phishing; malware or attempts to break into accounts or our systems; illegal goods or services; infringing others' rights; and using the service to get around a ban.

Accounts and reports

People can report messages, chats and accounts in the app. We review reports, may ask the reporter for screenshots (we can't read encrypted messages ourselves), and may suspend or close accounts that break this policy. Business plan owners are responsible for their team's use.

Fair use

Shared plans include generous storage with per-person upload limits (1 GB a day, 5 GB a month). Automated or very heavy use may be limited so everyone gets good service.
